A Thai Wedding

Marriage traditions in Thailand are interesting. They have two types of marriages out there. For example a Buddhist component, which includes the recitation of prayers and the offering of food and other gifts to monks is one way while the other way is a non-Buddhist marriage which focuses on the couple’s families. For the Buddhist marriage there has to be a monk present at all times. The couple must also bow to a statue of Buddha and chant to Buddhist rituals. Also theres a line of festivities because after the wedding ceremony the couple and the invited guest go out and celebrate.
